Well, basketball season at the Boys & Girls Club of Mission, Tx is officially over and we ended with a perfect season, 0-8. Yep, we lost every game. The team was a little disappointed as you can imagine, but they had fun, made new friends, and learned the basics of the sport. Andrew scored at least 2 points in every game and was a valuable Center position player mostly for his height. The team they played tonight were much bigger than our whole team, but we hung in there and the final score was 34-17. At least the games wasn't a total shut out, unlike our season. Hopefully the kids won;t let this discourage them and they'll continue to play in the future. Basketball is my favorite sport and I really love watching my kid play. I embarass my husband, though. He says i remind him of my dad at the baseball games. i told him i had to get it from somewhere! Way to go, Drew, We are really pround of you.

A Perfect Season

Tell Andrew, not to feel bad. Ashton played soccer her first season and they also lost all their games. Then, she played basketball the next season and her team lost all their games during that season, too! Then, during her second soccer season, her team lost all but one game the whole season. So, in three sports seasons, within a year, her teams only won one game all together! Talk about discouraged!! But, she survived and she still likes sports! We're proud of Andrew no matter how well his team does...but it sure feels good to win sometimes. Just don't give up! :-)
